Animal communication is not a substitute for veterinary care, basic training, a good diet, and regular exercise. If you suspect your animal is having a medical emergency, please contact your vet.

Animal communication consultations are done most often over the phone, and usually last ½ to 1 hour. They are by appointment only. We can talk to more that one animal during a consult.
APPOINTMENTS
Please call or e-mail me to schedule your appointment. I am available between 10 AM and 8 PM, Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. I do my best to return e-mail or phone messages within 24 hours. Consultations can usually be scheduled within a few days of the initial call.
YOUR PREPARATION FOR A CONSULTATION
Please think about the questions that you would like to discuss with your animal. That facilitates the flow of the consultation and helps you not to forget something important you may want to bring up. Please know that specific questions lead to specific answers.
It helps if you are in a quiet area, free from distractions, for the consultation. I do not do consults with a person on a cell phone while the person is driving; it’s just too distracting for the person and dangerous. Be prepared to take notes. This is your time with your animal.

INFORMATION NEEDED
I need a good physical description of your animal: type, name, breed, sex, age, weight, eye color, coat color and markings. A photo of your animal is nice but not necessary. I also need your address, phone number, e-mail, and whoever else is in the household, animal and human. You can either send me this information at least 24 hours before a consult, or I can get it from you at the time of the consult.
WHAT TO EXPECT
At the time of the consult, call me at 916-631-7535. I will be prepared and ready to contact your animal. The consult starts with my asking more in-depth questions about your animal’s issues, including what medications he is on, if appropriate, and your telling me what questions you want to discuss with your friend. Then I will tune into your animal, and will get a sense of who he is so that we can be sure I have contacted the right animal. After that, I’ll start asking your questions of your animal. When we are finished, I will let you know how long the consult was, the cost, and collect your payment information. Your animal does not have to be in the room with you at the time of the consult.
COSTS
Payment is by credit card, either Visa, MasterCard, or Discover, or you can make a deposit to my account on PayPal (carlajs@pacbell.net).
My charges are as follows:
• Animal Communication Consultations: 20 minute minimum: $38; additional time will be billed in 5-minute increments at $110 per hour
• Flower Essences: an additional 20 minutes added to consultation time to create a specific formula for your animal, plus $25 to Allison Amick (Resources), who makes up the bottle and sends it to you
• Reconnective Healing/Chinese Energetic Medicine: $145 for three 30-minute sessions
Cancellation Policy: Please respect my time and give me at least 24 hours notice if you have to cancel an appointment; otherwise, you will be charged the minimum consultation time, or $38. A missed appointment will be charged the same. If I cannot reach you within 10 minutes past our appointment time, then that appointment is treated as missed and will need to be rescheduled.
